AWAKEN THE PEACE ALREADY INSIDE YOU
PEACE PRAYER WALK
in SOLIDARITY with
the Monks of Huong Dao Vipessana Bahavna Center
Friday, January 30th, 2026
12:00noon to 1:00p
U.S. Post Office (downtown)
475 Broadway
Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
Come walk and pray for peace in solidarity with the Buddhist monks from the Houng Dao Vipessana Bahavna Center, as they continue their Pilgrimage for Peace from Fort Worth, TX to Washington, D.C. Leaving their temple to walk 2,300 miles in prayer indicates how serious these Vietnamese monks know our current situation to be, as this action is a very rare occurrence for them.
• This local prayer walk will be led by JUN-SAN, Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Nun from the Peace Pagoda (Grafton, NY).
• Meet at 12noon at Saratoga Spring's downtown U.S. Post Office, corner of Broadway and Church Street.
Our FREE hour-long prayer walk will progress along our city's streets.
Post-walk gathering for shared reflection: TBD.
Please Note
This Peace Prayer Walk is not a protest, but rather a prayer vigil to promote the Peace of Compassion, Healing, and Unity.

On Thursday, April 03, 2025, over 120 old friends, new friends, activists & activated friends, friends of faith, four-legged friends, and Saratoga neighbors gathered on the stairs of Saratoga Springs City Hall, bringing their voices together for Canada’s national anthem, O Canada to Sing-Out our LOVE & Friendship to Canada and Canadians … our northern neighbors for over 150 years! BIG thanks go out to Mary Turcich, who arrived with her guitar to patiently lead us in each round of ‘O Canada,’ the national anthem. AND Amanda Bailly, with her professional eye and equipment, who captured it all for us … THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Special thx to Thomas Dimopoulos who responded to our press release, documented and then immediately posted a clip of our community event - which now has over 16K views (as of 4/08/25)!!
““You must be bold, brave, and courageous and find a way … to get in the way … never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.””
